Has been an Executive Director with Sara-Timur Sdn Bhd since September 1999. Prior to this, he was the Commercial Manager for Nishimatsu-Corpro Construction (M) Sdn Bhd for more than four years where he played a key role in the construction of the Sutera Harbour project. Mr Tiong’s career began in August 1979 as the Contracts Officer for Zaidun Leeng Sdn Bhd followed by becoming the Branch Manager for WTS Konsultant (Consulting Architects, Engineer and Surveyors). In April 1987, Mr Tiong became the Senior Quality Surveyor for Antah Biwater JV where he was later promoted to the position of Commercial Manager – Sabah. Following a short stint with Corpro Construction (M) Sdn Bhd in 1992, Mr Tiong made a move to become the Commercial Manager of the Kota Kinabalu Water Supply Privatisation project for John Holland (M) Sdn. Bhd. Mr Tiong received a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Building Technology from the University of Manchester.
