348 Sentral will be the new Headquarters for Shell Malaysia and Ascott Serviced
Apartments. Developed by Gapurna Group, the complex sits on 2.09 acres of land.
Awarded to Sara-Timur by MRCB Engineering Sdn. Bhd., the project includes Brickworks,
Tiling & Doors in 2 Blocks (Floors 26 & 37). The project duration runs from August 2010 to
February, 2012, and will employ 300 workers.
348 Sentral is is a new mixed residential and commercial development, enhancing the
business atmosphere at KL Sentral.
The structure consists of 3 blocks including a 30 story South Office Wing, a 24 story North
Office Retail Wing, 21 story Exclusive Service Apartments, and SOHO offices. There are 4
levels of basement parking. The South Office wing has a total rentable area of over
303,656 sf, while the North Office Wing has a total rentable area of over 234,961 sf.
The architecture features column-free spaces in the office wings to create a sense of
space and community. Natural lighting is also featured to enhance this sense of space and
the environment.
Other than its strategic location, 348 Sentral engineers placed emphasis on energy saving
and a sustainable building. As one ofMalaysiaʼs green office development, it is a sign of
improvement in the local development scene.
