As the Managing Director of Sara-Timur Group of Companies, it is my responsibility to ensure that we fulfill our corporate vision and reward the trust and investment of our shareholders. Our Group has strong core values, a corporate culture of high achievement and standards that enable us to build sustained relationships with all our stakeholders.

From a modest beginning in 1995, Sara-Timur Group of Companies has positioned itself as one of the nationwide construction and property development conglomerate in Malaysia, by identifying and responding to client requirements and the changing trends in the construction and development industries.

Sara-Timur was formed with 7 share holders in Kuching, Sarawak, to provide engineering solutions to our clients. The company's shareholders bring vast professional experience and qualifications. This is essential for the ever increasing demands of our industry that we serve. As our share holders are from different parts of Malaysia, we already have the ideas of operating in various parts of Malaysia, hence now with offices in Kuching and Sibu, Sarawak, Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan, Sabah, Kota Bharu, Mersing, and our new corporate offices in Kuala Lumpur.

Like many closely held companies, we face an increasingly competitive environment, rapid acceleration of technological change, and changing economic conditions we have become more creative and innovative. We now manage major projects and are committed to constructing projects to high standards of quality and safety, on time delivery, Sara-Timur's revenue is currently at RM350 million annually. Our targeted revenue is over a billion annually.

Sara-Timur has been at the forefront of New Development, Urban Renewal and Construction. Today's demands are for greener and sustainable development and buildings that are more cost effective to build and maintain. Our design and construction methods are in line with current trends and endeavor to be acceptable by both current and future generations. Government relations in the industry is very important. Malaysia's economy is still dependent on government expenditure in different sectors. Local governments are more often the client and a major stakeholder in infrastructure projects.

The company has a vast pool of experienced professionals in town planning, designing, construction and technical know how plus a mix of young creative professionals which will gives a winning formula to our client. We take great considerable care from the very start, from concept to design to sustainable construct-abilities to marketabilities, giving our investors substantial ROI. Our capabilities include building and civil engineering which may be carried out under different contractual forms including project management, turnkey design & construct or partnering. This has proved to be a very successful contract where all parties involved have worked together to bring the project to completion.

In the early year of operation, Sara-Timur began with one employee, over the years, our manpower has increased substantially and presently in 2012, we are supported by a total workforce of more than 400 highly qualified and experienced staff. We understand that people are our key asset and we recruit and retain the best people we need to maintain company growth whilst retaining our unique culture. We have constructed a number of projects to high standards and we continue to build on that success. We promote an open management style which encourages and rewards new ideas. The corporate culture that has developed at Sara-Timur for nearly two decades allows us to share common goals and assure a bright future for all who have committed themselves to the company will continue to strengthen its corporate culture.

As a construction and development company, our primary consideration must always be our clients, and our primary objective, their satisfaction. Our success in achieving these is measured by our clients' perception of the technical execution, and achieving the highest levels of Readiness, Communication, Quality, Safety, and Customer Service, exceeding our clients' expectations.
